Video Players

CJH allows users to choose from the three most popular video players: Flash, Windows Media Player, and QuickTime. It is recommended that you update your preferred player with the latest version.

Playing Movies

You can play movies either by downloading or streaming them.

Downloading Movies

When you download a movie, a copy of the movie file is placed on your hard drive. Usually it’s saved in the downloads folder. Once the download is complete, you can view the movie file from your hard drive.

Streaming Movies

When you stream a movie, video data is sent over the Internet in such a way that you can view it (almost) immediately, without waiting for the entire file to download. One of the main benefits of streaming is that you can fast forward, rewind, or move to any point in the movie you wish (this is not possible with downloading).

If you are experiencing a lot of buffering delays, your Internet connection may not be fast enough to accommodate the file speed you have chosen. In that case, you should select a slower speed. If you still get buffering delays, you may want to download the movie instead.

Note that, unlike downloading, streaming does not copy the movie file to your hard drive.

Problems Streaming/Downloading Movies

If you are having problems playing videos we recommend temporarily disabling any internet security software.

If you get “Server Not Found” while downloading or streaming, and you are certain you have your Security Software disabled or configured properly, check your system’s date and time. When you go to download a movie, the system checks to see if your cookies have expired, and if the date is off or invalid, then the system thinks you’ve “timed out” and the session is no longer valid.

Can’t Login?

If you are having problems with the login, and you’re sure your username and password are correct, then try deleting your cookies and web history.
